Twiggy: A Fashion Icon That Influences Personal Style

“I hated the way I looked. I thought the world had gone mad”

It’s been 50 years since Twiggy (Lesley Lawson) revolutionized the fashion industry. She is one of the world’s most iconic models and is a timeless beauty. Twiggy is an English model, actress, and singer. She was a prominent teenage model in the 60s London. She is known for her thin build, thus her name, big eyes, long lashes and short hair. Twiggy landed on the covers of Vogue and The Tatler and her fame as spread worldwide.

Her fame had some backlash as well. Her boyish thin image was criticized as promoting and “unhealthy” body ideal for teenage girls. And is still is. In recent years Twiggy has spoken out against the trend of dangerously thin models. She says “ I was very skinny, but that was just my natural build. I always ate sensibly, and being thin was in my genes.

Twiggy is still influencing the fashion world, with her collection Mark and Spencer. Let’s take a look back at her modeling career throughout the years.

  1. Hey this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with
HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how
so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
